FRANK MCCABE ENDED THE QUALIFIERS WITH A STATEMENT OF INTENT BY HITTING A 13-DART LEG TO CLINCH A 4-2 WIN OVER MARTIN IRWIN IN Q10.
IN AN EXCITING DAYS DARTS, THE 32 FINALISTS WERE ONLY DECIDED WHEN MCCABE WON HIS SEMI-FINAL AGAINST PAUL WHITE DENYING THE LURGAN MAN AN AUTOMATIC QUALIFYING SPOT AND SENDING MICKY BOLTON & MICK GRADY THROUGH ON POINTS.

THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR SHANE LENNON
After finishing runner-up twice Shane Lennon (right) finally got over the line in Q9 with a 4-3 victory over James Bolton (left).
In what was a superb days darts Lennon hit 13 and 14 darters en route to the final. However it was James Bolton who produced the days highlight by hitting an 11-dart finish to take the WBO record off Conor Wylie.

LURGAN DELIGHT FOR JIM WHITE
Jim White became Lurgans first winner as he defeated Martin Irwin from the Short Strand by 4-1.
Both Martin and Jim had to dig deep to defeat Davy McCusker and Danny Boyle in the Semi-finals.
Highlight of the day was Conor Wylies 12-darter which beat the WBO record.

HAVING WENT CLOSE ON NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS JAMES BOLTON FINALLY GOT OVER THE WINNING LINE ON SATURDAY BY WINNING 4-2 AGAINST LURGANS MARK MCLERNON IN THE FINAL WITH IMPRESSIVE 20,19,18 AND 20 DART LEGS.
MARK CLAIMED HIS SPOT IN THE GRAND FINALS AS ONLY TWO QUALIFIERS REMAIN IN THIS YEARS EVENT.

AFTER YET ANOTHER COMEBACK VICTORY, FRANK MCCABE MATCHED HIS FEAT OF 2009 BY WINNING THREE QUALIFIERS IN A ROW.
AFTER A GREAT TURNOUT MCCABE DEFEATED TONY CORR 4-3 BY WINNING THE LAST THREE LEGS IN 17,16 AND 23 DARTS. CORR WHO PLAYED GREAT DARTS ALL DAY HAD THE CONSOLATION OF AN AUOMATIC QUALIFYING SPOT.

TRAILING BY 3-0 BOLTON SQUANDERED DARTS AT DOUBLES IN THE FOURTH TO CLAIM HIS FIRST EVER WBO QUALIFIER WIN. MCCABE CHECKED OUT ON THE BULL AND THEN HIT 2X180'S ( TO MAKE 6 ON THE SAME DAY ) ON ROUTE TO BACK-TO-BACK VICTORIES. BOLTON SECURED A SPOT IN THE FINALS AS A CONSOLATION.

AFTER AN INDIFFERENT START TO THIS YEARS TOURNAMENT FRANK MCCABE GOT HIS GAME BACK UP TO SPEED WITH A 4-2 4TH QUALIFIER FINAL VICTORY OVER THE UNFORTUNATE SHANE LENNON.
LENNON HAD PRODUCED 4X180'S AND A 14 DARTER ON ROUTE TO THE FINAL BUT FOR SECOND WEEK RUNNING RAN INTO A FINALIST IN TOP FORM. MCCABE HIT A 15-DARTER AND 127 OUTSHOT TO CLOSE OUT THE GAME AND SECURE HIS SPOT IN THE FINALS.

PETER MCDONNELL WINS THIRD QUALIFIER
19'S THROWER PETER MCDONNELL (SNR) GAVE A BOTTOM OF THE BOARD MASTERCLASS ON SATURDAY 5TH JUNE TO SEAL HIS PLACE IN THE FINALS
HE FINISHED ON 125 TO WIN A HIGH QUALITY FINAL AGAINST TOP LURGAN THROWER SHANE LENNON BY 4-2. ALL GAMES WERE UNDER 21 DARTS AND ONCE AGAIN THE ONLOOKERS WERE TREATED TO A FEAST OF SCORING
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE START TIME HAS MOVED FORWARD TO 2PM THIS WEEK. A FEW MINUTES GRACE WILL BE GIVEN THIS WEEK DUE TO THE CHANGE IN CIRCUMSTANCES.
